“Dr. Nurse” is a designation used to represent nurses who have attained doctorate degrees and therefore hold both titles “Doctor” and “Nurse”. In 2017, aspiring to become pioneers of this title, Dr. Brittany Price, DNP and Dr. Julius Johnson, DNP founded Dr. Nurses which is a platform used to cultivate the next generation of nursing. As the largest and most trusted profession in the healthcare workforce, nurses have a unique ability to influence the future of healthcare; and the 1% of doctorate prepared nurses have the responsibility to be at the forefront of the profession’s evolvement. Offering consulting, education, networking, and mentoring services, Dr. Nurses creates a collaborative space to uplift and empower each nurse to live up to his or her full potential while representing prestige in all things nursing from education and entrepreneurship down to nursing apparel.
MISSION
EDUCATE the public including nurses and future nurses on the roles and responsibilities of doctorally prepared nurses.
Advocate on behalf of patients, communities, and nurses for better care, better health, lower cost, and the elimination of social determinants of health.
Inspire current and future nurses to strive towards achieving a Terminal / Doctorate degree, collaborate, and practice to the full extent of the profession.
